Natural material yoga mats

I have recently returned to yoga ( hatha) and my old mat is getting a bit degraded , so I'm going to need to upgrade. While it seems from looking around there is a lot of potential to spend a lot on looks or 'bling' I'm not bothered by that, but I really do feel a draw to work on a natural surface. I have had a bit of a google and seen mates with jute or grass practise surfaces.
Has any one used these? Any feedback? Or any proposed alternatives? I prefer a wide mat, ( I feel more comfortable with the space marked
) but don't need extra length.
