First time buyer mortgage after career break!

Hi All
In 7wks I'm about to complete a 4.5 month career break. I'm still employed by the Local Government as I negotiated unpaid leave (approximately 3 months) once I had used all my overtime and annual leave and will be returning at the end of Sept. I earn £28,750pa, have no debts and a excellent credit score (the last time I checked about 6 months ago). I am also receiving a retention bonus of £300 pcm via work but unsure how long this is for. Therefore, I'm still receiving payslips (but not my full wage) and contributing to my pension etc. I have worked for the authority for 9 yrs.
I'm a first time buyer and I've seen a property I wish to buy when I return to the UK, it's £120K and I have a deposit of £10K (£15K at a push).
I wondered will my career break affect me getting a mortgage with the property I've seen now, as this is not a career break where I'm unemployed or will I have to wait a while until I have payslips evidencing my full earnings? Also, being a first time buyer are there any good schemes or FTB mortgages operating that could assist me in anyway?
Any advice much appreciated ☺

Just curious as I'm a ftb myself awaiting a mortgage, but if you're abroad have you viewed the property in question in person yet? Have you had an accepted offer? Just wondering as you mentioned returning to the UK!
I applied earlier this month and was required to submit last 3 months payslips and as am on mat leave (and reduced salary) work was asked to confirm my date of return to work and my salary on return to work. Haven't got the mortgage yet, was told it was approved pending confirmation of the above, but apparently the confirmation wasn't done correctly/information missing so am still waiting unfortunately...0
