Michael Kors Watches

I'm looking to buy a MK watch for our DD's birthday. She's been hankering for one for ages so I thought I'd have a look round the web. Personally I'd rather buy a watch from a known watchmaker than a fashion designer, but this isn't about me.

Has anyone got an MK watch? Are they worth the money? Do they stand the up to every day wear and tear? It seems that rose gold is THE in colour but I suspect the plating will soon wear off.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Personally, I think they've had their day, but then, I'm starting to realise I'm not 18 anymore.. :rotfl:

Anyway, if she insists that is what she wants, I find this website really good:

    Good luck :)

Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.

Personally, I would never have one. I'd prefer to buy a decent Seiko or Citizen watch that's on trend but with timeless (excuse the pun) appeal. Michael Kors Is a fashion designer not a watchmaker. Sigh......

I have the Michael Kors Parker in Rose gold .
No tarnishing as yet ( I have owned it for 7 months with daily wear)
I bought mine from Amazon for £120 although I have seen them in the shops for £259.

Purchased a Korrs watch for the wife at Xmas, bracelet tarnished within weeks
  • If it does tarnish, then it's faulty.

I used to work in a department store that sold MK watches and there was no more issues with MK watches than any other brand.

Don't buy it full price though but be aware of fakes.

Check out if there is a Watch Station outlet near you. I've just bought mine from Cheshire Oaks... RRP £259, Outlet Price £165, Bank Holiday Event Extra 25% off = £123.75!! BTW, the RRP isn't 'made up' as other shops are still selling it for £259.

Also, easier to return straight to the shop if there are any problems.
  • If you're looking for cheap MK watches, that website lists all the MK watches on sale on Amazon:
Bogger, for some reasons I'm not allowed to share a link... luxurydesignerwatch.co.uk/michael-kors-mens-watches-for-sale

Might be able to find a bargain in there...

Arent they just rebadged junk like so many other designer brands ?

Edit, they are made by the Fossil group,,makers of designer junk for many names.

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Thats a bit unfair as even Rolex aren't watchmakers as they buy-in all of there movements.

Very very few companies actually do make there own movements.... as you'd expect Patek Phillipe does.

Having a look at Michael Kors website and boy are the watches vulgar looking. My opinion yours, may vary.
