Too early to apply?

My current fixed rate deal comes to an end on Dec 31st. Is it too early to apply for a new deal?
Was thinking of booking a cheap fix deal while rates are low.
I know the offers used to last about 6 months. Is this still the case?

Its typically 3 months. There are exceptions though.
Rates are unlikely to change massively one way or the other between now and September/October.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
