forza 8x6 goal posts assembly

Sorry if this is the wrong section.

I have recently purchased and assembled a forza 8x6 goal post for my son and I'm struggling with the locking pins. They are U shaped with a single fat pin on the outside and 2 small pins on the inside.

The 2 small pins don't fit the holes on the goal post. The single fat pin does however they are so loose that the clip just falls Out?

Has anyone assembled this and encountered the same Problem? Can't figure out how these clips can lock the goal post bars into place when they just fall Out.

At the moment I'm just using it with out the clips but was hoping to figure out why they just fall out. I've emailed the sales team but hoping someone here might know the answer.
