Hi Folks,
Is it just me or is anyone else getting fed up with the antics of our political masters. The latest antics involving another public paid superannuated Lord makes me think that the normal folks struggling to get by are being taken for mugs by these parasites.
Osborne wants to save 40 % off most government departments so rather than close community and day centres is it not time to close down the house of lords and give these bunch of inbreeds, failed politicians and brown envelope spivs their P45's and get them off the paybill of UK tax payers.

It has always been like this. We're better off now, in that at least they are usually ashamed and normally prosecuted these days, whereas in the past, they would have got away with it.
Reforming the HoL is a good idea, generally. But it wouldn't save very much actual money. It would make a nice hotel, though. (I would have a second house, elected by proportional representation, based somewhere other than London. Perhaps Newcastle, if it is an English body, or Belfast if it is for the whole UK?)0 -

a well argued comment of the merits of a second chamber:

Trouble is, this is reality. As a country we cant afford to live like we did 97-2010 under labour. Just like those that get them selves a credit card a max it out on having a good time, the fun is gone and now its time to pay it back, meaning for a while, no more splashing out on nice things for anyone0

Don't you like it that some of our non-elected elite are out doing what a fair portion of blokes aged 18-30ish would love to spend their weekends doing?
Hookers and coke? That's pretty cool isn't it? (Although to be honest I never 'performed' particularly well after a load of beak)
His mistake was getting caught is all.Left is never right but I always am.0
