Hi just looking into the future is it possible to invest some of my lump sum back into making my yearly pension bigger in a db scheme pay out in about two years many thanks

    Yes. However, there are restrictions and consequences to stop it from being abused. Look up recycling rules on pensions and reduction in annual allowance.

    If you consider reverse commutation, I suggest you establish whether it affects your widow's pension.
