Spicy Soup

Ive thrown all sorts into this soup but its a bit too peppery, any idea how I can calm it down a bit please.

Could you add some extra potato or some cream?

I did that once to a veg soup I made for lunches, it got hotter as the week went on so much I couldnt eat it after Wednesday

A potato will take some of the seasoning out (add whole, discard before eating the soup) or some yoghurt will tame some of the spice.

yes, yoghurt calms down even the hottest curries so a too peppery soup shouldn't be a problem- you could use cream or buttermilk though. you just need to rename the soup 'Cream of ...................... Soup'.
