Can I pay my tax bill using different bank accounts?

Options
Hello,

I was wondering if I can pay a tax bill using a combination of different bank/credit accounts?

I would like to use a 0% purchases card to pay most of the bill (I realise there is 1.4% transaction fee) but there is still some of the tax bill left over to pay due to the credit limit not being high enough. I'll pay the left over through my current bank account.

Is this fine ?

Thanks,

Dave

HMRC don't really care how the bill is paid, subject to you being authorised to make payments using the card / account concerned.

I'd check with your card provider that they won't treat it as a cash advance. You could theoretically overpay massively and claim a repayment to your bank account or by cheque.
