Would this put you off proceeding

Hi All,

Our lender cannot give us a valuation as property shows structural movement. I enlisted the guidance of the structural engineer and he found stair case type cracks in the mortar at the rear of the property by the kitchen drains which he believes is caused overflow of guttering that he thinks is perhaps now fixed as there is no overflow. Technically I don't know if this is officially classified as subsidence but would like to know would this put you off from proceeding?

Your engineer is the person to consult for further questions.

If this is going to worry you when you own the property is it worth it though?

If the lender can't give you a valuation, who is going to provide the funds for the purchase?

Lender is only able to give a valuation once they receive the structural engineers report

The key here will be how much you want the house and how much the structural report will be.
