They do have a large notice up stating you must have a ticket right above the ticket machine. A friend used to forget, came out to the man about to put the ticket on. She pleaded and he let her off this once, do it again no chance. She never forgets now.
I think you will have to pay, but others may disagree.0 -
henryj,
No DON'T pay it it's not enforceable, see other thread as mentioned above.0 -
Not sure which iceland carpark you were in but the one in lurgan seems to belong to road services and is regularly patrolled by traffic wardens who never hesitate to hand out tickets so I believe with that one at least you need to pay.0

Iceland has a couple of Disabled spaces at the front of our local store and any tom !!!!!! or harry parks in them ..when asked about they said they couldn't enforce parking rules when told that the people parking had no blue badge they replied nothing they could do about it.it may differ up and down NI but that's my personal Experience.~We are all going to hell and guess who Is driving the bus~*Norn Iron club Member 294* (Hi, we’ve had to remove part of your signature. That will be the one on the Woodstock Road. Very small car park, there are a few spaces in front of the cancer shop not sure if they are grouped in with the Iceland?0

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822If in Scotland/NI:
Apart from (of course!!) complaining to the landowner/retailer you should IGNORE your fake PCN unless you are not the registered keeper and that is a company (hire car or leased/company vehicle).*
You are safe to ignore because there is no worthwhile appeals process - do not believe what the fake PCN says! This Watchdog video still applies in Scotland and NI because a PPC has to know who was driving (unlike in England/Wales now):http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAIcdi9niHA
WHEN IGNORING IN SCOTLAND/NI, KEEP ALL LETTERS. DO NOT THROW THEM AWAY EVEN IF YOU HAVE MADE A PAPER AEROPLANE FROM THEM!0 -
