The Messengers plays on an idea that will be familiar to Fortean Times readers - the theory that children are highly susceptible to paranormal phenomena. The children in question here are on a farm terrorised by malevolent spirits, and they alone have the ability to see what horrors lie ahead.
The Messengers marks Danny and Oxide Pang's (The Eye) English-language directorial debut, alongside legendary producer Sam Raimi, in a cunning blend of American horror and Asian extreme cinema.
