Hi all
notice on my credit card statements that it say if you are finding financial difficulty to contact them first.
Is there any benefits or any one know what they usually do. ie can they freeze interest etc
One of my credit card companies Bank of Scotland has closed my account but still adds interest I appreciate they can do this but would it be worth asking them to freeze it or is it best going for DMP
regards
Douglas

Yes of course its worth asking, best in a letter, people report varying degrees of success with this, they may freeze interest for say, 3/6 months, but you would probably be more successful if you started a DMP.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
