    Sorry, had a few thoughts:

    4) On that note, get an 0870 number which you can redirect to any number, and/or voicemail. They can be obtained for free, and you can earn a small amount from people calling it. Say 1/2p a minute. So it's in your interest to keep them talking!

I love the Idea of this. We should set up a DFW Nerd Line and givethe creditors that number to call us on. We could make it a premium rate number at 90p a minute and have a massive list of options like they do! :D

If you wish to speak to Crown Press 1
If You Wish to Speak to hbslc Press 2
If you wish to speak to Kerry press 3

We could then stick them on hold for 10 minutes why the calls are diverted and then split the proceeds at the end of the quarter when we receive our cheque from the phone operator... What do you think....

    If only we could :rotfl:

Well possibly but of course we will play that great musical favourite "Green Sleeves" and every so often have someone chirp in "Your Call is importnat to us, We will be with you as soon as someone is available.."

    Fantastic idea!

I do this with recruitment agencies that i use to find contract work. They call me on an 0870 number, and i make about £20 a year from it!

I haven't gone to the extremes of having a call centre type thing - yet!

He he. Those ideas made me giggle. I like the idea of charging the vultures to call me!

No hold music would have to be crazy frog.
  • Yeah, but I don't think they'd stay on long if it was crazy frog. Better something to keep them moderately happy while they wait and run up the time on the 0870 no.
  • I remember I once spent 40 mins on hold during work happily listening to the James Bond soundtrack and waiting for a call to go through. They need a happy distraction from the call centre... that's what.
