Virgin Money Mortgage experience?

Hey!

I have a Decision In Principle with Virgin Money for a house I am looking at buying. It is a new build, 15% deposit and 85% LTV

Being a FTB, I am convinced it is going to not pass through the next stages.

Does anyone have experience of using Virgin Money and how it went? My broker was VERY thorough with my outgoings etc..

I've paid my reservation fee and as of right now, I am patiently waiting on the broker / lawyers getting in touch!

Any comments of experiences with Virgin would be appreciated.

I am 29, clean credit report but there was a CCJ that came off my report 2 months ago! it was also settled prior to coming off. All bills / credit cards have been paid on time in the last 6 years plus!
As it stands, Credit report shows a balance on my cards but I have cleared these today at the brokers request.

Speculating on the outcome of your application is impossible. Only Virgin can do that.

Generally steady to valuation stage - slowish valuation to offer has been our recent experience.

More a 3/4 week rather than 2/3 week process.

All Lender's service times ebb and flow as they get busier or quieter.

VM have just dropped some key rates so might get busier in next month.

I'm remortgaging my residential property & BTL with Virgin at the minute putting both applications through my MA.
From application to offer BTL took 28 days, Residential took 12 days
I was very pleased whereas my MA much less impressed with their tardiness !!!
