Here's a chance to win a Cortex digital mixing console plus a stack of UNKLE goodies on CD and vinyl.
Not willing to shell out the cash for a fancy DJ set up of turntables and CD mixers? And what's the point anyway, when your favourite music is stored on your pod? Luckily the clever folks at Cortex put on their thinking caps and came up with a whizzbang gadget, the Dmix-300, which lets you DJ your MP3 collection. Even better is the fact that we've got one to give away.
So what's it all about then? The Dmix-300 is a nifty console which turns your portable MP3 player into a DJ booth. It has two jog wheels, a built-in mixer and a crossfader which means you can beatmatch, cue up and mix tracks the old school way. Except much more cheaply. There's a direct dock for an iPod, but you can also connect up to four other mp3 players via a USB hub, or hook up your flash drives, USB sticks or CD/DVD players. The unit also weighs a tiny 12lbs and can be stuffed into a sturdy backpack meaning you're just one step away from an instant party. Just add speakers!
Just in case you've got nothing to spin on your new Dmix-300, we're also throwing in the latest output from James Lavelle's electronic band UNKLE. Winners will receive the latest UNKLE album 'War Stories' on CD as well as the 7" vinyl picture disc and 12" red vinyl collector's editions of the lead single 'Burn My Shadow', which features Ian Astbury from The Cult on vocals. Don't forget that all UNKLE releases come in dope artwork painted by Massive Attack's 3D aka Robert Del Naja, too.
