MSE News: Government pulls plug on Green Deal funding

Any idea what, if any, financing options will be available now the Green Deal financing has been axed?
In our area we have access to a "Green Deal Community Fund", which apparently can get us 50% off the price of solid wall insulation - but I am unclear if they would now be able to offer any sort of financing on the part that we would have to pay.0 -
Yeah it was a messy scheme so needs a full overhaul.
The principle however is great - loan against savings made by energy inefficiencies.
The govt just have to remove all the inflationary crap that came with it:
1: Interest free loans from central provider (compared to QE its peanuts).
2: Remove and/or cheapen the cost of companies to enter -
3: Require standardised, itemised quotes for all work to form the plan, costs can be easily compared and those taking the mick exposed. - probably a good idea to allow anonymised quotes to be viewed online for each work type - but with company name shown, again name and shame the over chargers..0
