Keep dry gym clothing

Am a frequent gym goer for 2 years now and my gym wardrobe is Women's Fitnesswear Nike and Addidas tops and all are supposed to be 'dri-fit' or sweat wicking or whatever terminology they each use but I find despite that, I get really sweaty really quickly - in fact seemingly I suffer from it more now than I did when I first joined, unfairly - so was just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and found any good gymwear to counter this. Thanks

My husband swears by his Under Armour top. He's a runner and he used to come back looking like he'd showered with his clothes on because of the sweat. Now he wears the UA top underneath a thin running top which is only damp after a run rather than soaking wet. He has other non-branded cheap base layer stuff but says they're nowhere near as good.
I picked the top up for him in Sports Direct. They sell them pretty cheaply (approx £17) but I got it in the sale for £11.0
