BTL joint mortgage approved -- underwriter questions?

brisk
Just had the online application approved with HSBC for a joint BTL mortgage (applicants are friends). The deposit is being gifted from the family of the second applicant and this was specified on the application. They have asked for 3 months pay slips and bank statements. Is it likely they will call to ask any further questions? If so, does anyone know the kind of things they will ask? Thanks

If further information is being requested. Then your application hasn't been "approved". No offer will be made until your application has been underwritten.
The source of the deposit will most likely need to be substantiated at a later stage.0 -
Good point. I've just passed the online stage then. Are they likely to phone to ask questions?0
