so iv been told twice by 2 people in the past 2 days that
"if i retweet a competion from their twitter that they have retweeted it doesnt count"


is this true?


because i tried this, a to me writing a tweet and my friend retweeting it and then me also retweeting from my comp twitter and the retweet still went through?


anyone else been told this? or anyone know if this is true or not?

not that I know of - I think it's an urban myth

Click on the three dots below the tweet, click on 'copy link to tweet' this is the link to the original tweet. You can then go to the original tweet and tweet from the source and no one will know you went down their timeline.

Yeah if you retweet a companies original tweet (ie one they created) from my timeline for instance, it would count (although this does annoy some users) but if you were to retweet a manual retweet (eg one that has my face next to it) then that doesnt count as its my own tweet you are retweeting.

Best bet is to go to the companies page and retweet from there
