Tier 2 General Visa - Mortgage Inquiry

Just to add another Qs to the original post.
I recently had a chat with Halifax. I have a flat (deed in my name, but I am not paying the equated monthly installments) in India. Halifax mentioned that since I have a property (with Loan) in my name in India, I am not eligible for being a first-time buyer in the UK.
Just wondering what are my options then!
Thanks in advance.
Option 1 - stop going on about India.I am a Mortgage Broker

Can you please elaborate what you mean - are you suggesting even though X has a property in India that doesn't count and they can still be considered first time buyers? Or are you saying they shouldnt worry about disclosing their property there?0 -
I have tier 2 general as well. You have mentioned that you was in this visa for two years and only 2.5 years is left to get your ILR.
I got my tier 2 in 2013 April. what do you reckon when can i apply for ILR?0
