When I apply for a mortgage and the mortgage company do a valuation on the property and they consider that the property has been overvalued, will they tell me this even if the LTV is still within their requirements for what they will lend me?

The surveyor will agree with the agreed purchase price, or disagree and tell you his opinion of its value.
LTV etc has nothing to do with it.
If you are using a lender which discloses valuation results, you'll get a copy. If you're not, you'll find out as you'll get an offer of the amount you requested, or a reduced amount if it was downvalued.I am a mortgage broker.
