Kitchen upgrade

Hi,

My kitchen is dated, very dated.

I had originally picked a new Ikea kitchen, inc appliances, and thought I got it as a reasonable price but their charges for fitting just became too much. Be warned that the cost you are quoted for an Ikea fit should be more or less doubled by the time all the necessary 'extras' such as plastering and electrical checks are added in.

Basically I am now between two minds - I could either get the same kitchen fitted but this time by another independent fitter, or (what I am leaning towards) is getting new cupboard fronts.

The kitchen is a typical Belfast Galley style; narrow and about a 12 feet long with units on either side. I am just wondering if anyone can recommend a good and affordable fitter or alternatively if anyone has any experience of the local firms who offer the new cupboard fronts option?

Thanks
