Conveyancing fees when remortgaging

Just using the mortgage best buys search engine on this site as am coming to the end of a fixed period on a mortgage in October. Looking at a tracker as planning on selling this time next year so don't want to fix again.
HSBC is coming out on top with a 2.49% tracker with no fees and no exit fee. Monthly payments will be £448, am currently paying £575/month. This could save me over £1000 over the period from October until next June.
Under Free legals it says "no"
Does this mean that I would need to pay for a solicitor to handle the conveyancing?
