Hi,
Got my date next week to go into court and declare myself Bankrupt.
How long does it usually take for the Official Receiver to contact you to discuss your income and expenditure to declare how much i would have to pay towards this?
Regards

I had a phonecall on the afternoon of my BR day, then an appointment was set up for the telephone interview, (usually within 10 days).
then they keep in contact with you to make sure your numbers are right and you haven't missed anything, recieved my ipa forms to sign last week, 2 months after br day.0 -
The Reason I'm asking is I have to go away with work in September until December so would like to get everything sorted before I left.0

I'm pretty sure they would contact me in that time but I don't want to disappear as I'm in the forces and for the official receiver unable to contact me.0

Spoke to the clerk earlier and she told me that the Official Receiver would contact me in 48 hrs from declaring bankrupt.
Is it better to then speak over the phone or go into visit the Official Receiver with the IPA side of it? The Official Receiver is local to where I live.0 -
Just make them aware of the facts and that your job will be taking you away and give them a form of contacting you and you will be fine.
ETA: No they won't want you to go in. They will be working to their own timetables and will contact you as they need to.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0
