Why can you not just email them back? They accept external email.

Thats what the brokers are for.

A typical example of people trying to save money by not employing broker's services and going a DIY route.

It can turn out to be very expensive if it doesn't go smoothly for you. Even now if you go through a broker, it would probably save you alot of time, money and hassle!!!

Why can't you use the work phone? Seems a bit draconian? At our workplace we can use the phone, pop to the shops etc

I work in insurance as an underwriter so have access to customers sensitive information and thus can't bring my phone into the office (I have a locker). I fully understand the mortgage product I have selected and can afford it- monthly repayment is less than my rent has been for 3 years! And I'm taking a 5 year fix.

My overtime is paid at time and a half- so I've been doing as much as possible to cover soliciots fees etc as my savings are being used for the deposit and I'd rather not get into debt.

It just seems unfair I'll loose out financially because of their staff's incompetence- however I will definitely be getting a broker next time! It's money saving expert and I was just trying to save some by doing it directly.
