Someone's managed to get red dye from their red-soled flip-flops on my nice new beige & mushroom lino bathroom floor. I've tried soapy water and bleach, but they didn't work - the floor still looks pink & I'm so cheesed off with it. I can't afford to replace the flooring, & I wondered if any of you had any suggestions for getting the stain out. Thanks.

Have you tried a piece of kitchen towel placed over it that has been soaked with rubbing alcohol, you leave on a for a few mins then wipe with warm soapy water. Am sure my mum had a similar problem a few years ago and thats what she did.Still TryingGrocery challenge July 2016

Thanks, I'll try to get some rubbing alcohol (where would you find that?
) in the morning. I'll let you know how I get on.

Rubbing alcohol (or isopropyl alcohol) is available from hardware shops.
Good luck, and let us know how it works.
