Uniform tax repayment, how long did you wait for payment into bank?

Options
My husband got a letter today, he applied for a tax repayment due to having a uniform for work. Anyway we got a form to say he was due a repayment and it would be in the bank in a few days, it was issued on the 9th of July.

We are still waiting, how long did you wait?
I was wondering what they mean by a few days I mean the letter has taken a week to get here for example.

I have only ever had a cheque before but he give bank details which we were told would be quicker.

Hi Kittyrules, did you claim the refund directly from HMRC? or via a third party (such as online, Facebook etc). If you claimed directly via HMRC, the standard timescale is within a couple of days of receiving the tax calculation, if you claimed via a 3rd party they would deal with the refund after they had taken their fee. HMRC would have no further involvement as you have authorised them to claim/receive the refund on your behalf.
