Hi
I'm paying off my debts slowly through a DMP- most debts are heading up to 6 years so will be disappearing of my credit file hopefully and I'll keep paying off the debs. If any of my creditors or DCAs decide to reject my DMP later an issue a CCJ/default, will the debt reappear on my credit file- e.g. if I'm still paying off a debt in 2018, can they go through this and leave me with a mark on my report to 2025 for example?
Thanks

Yes, a CCJ will stay on your file for 6 years, so, for example, you have a debt that's 5 years old, and the creditor obtains a CCJ against you, that CCJ will stay there for a further 6 years, so would be 11 years in total.

Keep a close eye on your credit file, I had Sainsbury try and re registered a default after the 6 years had experied complained had it removed but then they put the account back on as okay but on arrangenent complained again now got the account removed all together . Captiol one threaten to place a ccj on my file after 5 and half years but when I said I would defend it they stopped it and sold it to aig who took a single payment for 350 for a 1100 pound debt , also won 270 ppl back and a 100 pound compensation form Capitol one as they refused to look at a ppl claim for a defaulted account from fos(took 18 months ) they tried keeping it to offset there Loss for haveing to sell the account went back to fos got my money plus a further 50 pound for in convinced ,best of luck you have luck with them0
