Hello – can you help me
I've broken open a sealed telephone extension.
There are 4 wires on the telephone extension – white, blue, green and red.
The socket is an ADSL masterplate socket - it has 6 connections – A G B and 5 3 2 – what connections should I use where please?
Thanks in advance!

Not sure quite what you've done ...
A G B on the back of the inner part of the Linebox are for the incoming phone line.
2 3 5 on the removable front part of the Linebox are for your extension wiring.
2 red
3 blue
4 green (usually omitted)
5 white
This assumes the wires are connected correctly at the other end.

The incoming line with the ADSL on it goes to A and B, if the incoming line is on that cord you show it's probably red and white.
The 2 3 5 terminals are for extensions and are filtered for phone use only, no ADSL.
However that is flat flexible cord intended for short use between the socket and the phone, it's not intended for wiring long extensions and as the wires are not twisted pair it will probably have an adverse effect on broadband speed.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
