I was declared BR on 5th June 2014 and recently had my Automatic Discharge on 5th June 2015.... what a relief. Now imagine my confusion when I received a text 10 minutes ago from NatWest bank - which as far as we were aware closed our account when we went BR - giving me a balance statement of £71.48 overdrawn!!!
Does anyone know who I should call or write to to tell them to leave me alone? (The overdrawn amount was for bank charges prior to the BR)
Thanks

It's a pain when that happens but should be easily sorted.
Just phone them up using the customer services number & tell them you are BR. Give them your BR number & they should sort it from there.
After a couple of months you will need to clean up your credit files too - have a read of the sticky on this board so you are prepared.SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65
SPC 9 (2016) #485 TOTAL £84
SPC 10 (2017) # 485 TOTAL: £464.80
SPC 11 (2018) #4850 -
I believe they are ''allowed'' to inform a [former?]customer of the 'state' of the account?
They are not asking for it to be settled, or for any sort of payment...it is simply 'informative'.....No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
Hi,
It is acceptable to provide information only account details (not asking for payment) during an un-discharged / moratorium insolvency period but not afterwards as the debts no longer legally exist.
This seems after discharge so you should follow advice given earlier or make a formal complaint with a view to sending to FOS.
