1st Credit Warning letters

Has anyone had an experience with this company. I have had letters from them over the past 3 weeks offering me discount firstly for 2 accounts they said they purchased in 2006. They are now threatening County Court proceedings.

I have never paid this company anything or contacted them to the best of my knowledge and neither does this company appear on my credit file.

Please advise what I should do next to stop these letters from being sent and what course of action can I threaten 9 years after they say they bought the debt which was cleared with PPI many years ago.

    Hi,

Yes, lots of experiance, in fact they are still on my Christmas card list

If not acknowledged or any payment was made for a period of 6 years, the debt would be statute barred.

I suggest you write to 1st Crudit and inform them of this.

Info and template letter here :

The letters you are getting are simply computer generated drivel, sent by the thousands each week, they are full of terms like "we may" or "we could", all cleverly designed to frighten you into paying up.

From what you have said, they don't have a leg to stand on, you should send the SB letter, and see how they respond to that, let us know if you need further help.
