Honest advice - how long are we talking

My partner is about 4 years into a DMP and only has about £5k left which can be paid off in about two years time. I'm not working we've got two babies so definitely not in a position income-wise but once they're in school and I'm back at work full time we'd like to put £25k (hoping to have around that figure by then) into our first home. How far out of his DMP would hubby need to be to be considered by a high street lender eg. Santander? Just so we have a rough idea. Thanks

Your credit reports and size of deposit will dictate.
Do not limit yourself to high street lenders. There are smaller "quirky" lenders who have similar rates to high street lenders who would probably consider you now - subject to everything else.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. ACG could get you a mortgage with Aldermore if you want it.0

I cant work out if you have an issue with me/aldermore or both but in this instance I was not talking about any lender specifically although I think Aldermore could be a little overkill for a 4 year old DMP - but as I said, the deposit will dictate.
If you have a problem with me just get it said rather than sly little digs. If you have a problem with a company, I am not qualified in that area so not sure what to suggest.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
