Solartek - anyone used them?

Options
Anyone any info on this company?

Seems they fit panels, we get a third of the income and don't pay anything as the fees are covered by the energy they generate.

New to all this so don't know anything about it.
Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,
When the round up days are over,
And the Boulevard’s white with clover,
For you old faithful pal of mine.
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is yellow tonight,
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is mellow and bright,
There’s a coyote crying at the moon above,
Carry me back to the one I love,
And you old faithful pal of mine.

I've had a look at them via google and can find nothing on them, the only solartek I find are US based, are you sure that's the right company name.
As for getting a third of the income.....hmmm, very much doubt that, that sounds like RaR(rent a roof) and no RaR company is going to install panels and give away a third of the income, there's not enough in it for them to do that, you normally just get to use the energy generated to the best of your abilities.

Can you not buy your own and claim all the FiT?
    2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)

I suspect T, that they bundle all the benefits together and with the usual preposterous 50% usage claim, equate that to "about a third" of the total annual benefit?

All sounds very much like a RaR with a new spin on fleecing the customer?
4kWp, SSE, SolarEdge P300 optimisers & SE3500 Inverter, in occasionally sunny Corby, Northants.
Now with added Sunsynk 5kw hybrid ecco inverter & 15kWh Fogstar batteries. Oh Octopus Energy too.

I found a site for a company in Doncaster and posted this yesterday:

Can't really help. But I did look at the website (assuming they are in Doncaster?) Sometimes you get clues based on the clarity or dodgyness of the info. Also (personally) I think the info and numbers should be updated to show they are serious.

So I looked at their calculator to have a play, but it already had default info in it. First line, £9,500 for a 4kWp system, so clearly hasn't been updated since late 2011 ....... but no ...... it has the current FiT rate which changed on 1st July.

Wowza! £9.5k ....... buy one get one free, or just say BOGOF to them.

Say hello on the G&E board, were you'll be told to get under £6k and aim for £5k.

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.
