Where I live we have a few bike lanes like that, inferior to those obviously. The thing that looks different is that where I live the pedestrians walk all over the bicycle path forcing cyclists to use the footpath. The Koreans seem to understand the symbols, whereas English pedestrians don't.0

You get shot In North Korea if you transgress. Perhaps we should adopt a similar policy.0

The cycle tracks don't appear to be so good: less than 2m wide so not sufficient for cyclists to pass each other and no priority at side road crossings. Still better than some UK towns and cities though probably!0

You'd think they'd just allow them to use the vast amounts of unused road space, but then again the whole job is run by a podgy-faced nutter so it's not as if cycling infrastructure is at the forefront of social issues there.
I was given a bottle of North Korean wine recently by a relative who is a RN officer after a diplomatic visit (RN terminology for drinking holiday) to the DMZ. If the cycle paths are anything like their wine, they'll be awful!0 -
Did you see that second link in the story to say as recently as 2014 it was illegal for women to ride a bike.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Am I missing something? They look just like a regular bike lane to me, only too narrow to be any real use.
What are we supposed to be amazed about?0
