Early Repayment Fees!

Hi, I am currently on a 5 year fixed mortgage with RBS. My current deal runs out in 5 months (end Nov). I have found a new property that i am ready to buy and i have an agreement in principle with another lender. Do i need to wait until that deal has finished to avoid paying fees or can i switch before then? I bank with RBS also.

If i will have to pay fees does anyone have an idea of what they charge?

I had a fixed rate with them and the penalty was 5% in yr 1, 4% in yr 2 etc. I was able to move my deal 3 months prior to the original product end date. You'll need to read your mortgage T&Cs or phone up the bank to see what penalty you may incur.

I think Devon guy ported his existing deal from one property to another.
You are looking at changing lenders so either delay moving until after November or find out how much ERC you will have to pay
