G24 Parking Fine

Options
Hello,
Was wondering if anyone could help please? My partner received a parking fine through the post from G24 for staying too long in a shop car park. I have appealed it as he did a u turn and left immediately and then came back again to use the shop and was caught leaving then on the camera, making it over the maximum time.
We have heard back saying that we can reappeal sending in receipts but they didn't have what he needed that day so he has none.
What's the best course of action please? Reading these threads, it looks like he does not have to pay?
Any advice you could give would be much appreciated as we don't want to waste £65.
Thanks

First stop calling it a "fine" and read up on the newbies FAQ thread.

its not a fine, and complain like hell to the shop/landowner, also see the thread on minimum standards. don't forget that the landowner is responsible for the actions of its agents

  • Ok, they call it a "parking charge"!
Read through the newbie thread in the first instance and can find no similar cases, can anyone offer any advice?

You're not looking through the NEWBIES sticky 'to find similar cases'. In terms of the core of all private parking issues, they are all the same and they all need to be handled in the same way. That's the reason the sticky was created - to provide a fairly standard way of dealing with a fairly standard set of events.

You mentioned 'U-Turn'. Did the motorist enter the site, decided to leave and completely exit the site, returning later with the ANPR camera recording the first entry and the second exit, erroneously claiming the elongated stay? If this is the case it will be an additional appeal point in due course.

Despite not purchasing anything on the day, there should be a complaint to the retailer on site - especially if you are a regular customer, or you are/were contemplating a major purchase and were doing your browsing/research before placing your order with them (which of course this ticket will now ensure your business is placed elsewhere!!)
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

G24 are pathetic. I phoned them over 50 times in one morning the other week asking to speak to the idiot that owns the company - Adrian King - they got a tad annoyed and strangely none of them knew where he was, how to contact him or even his phone number. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Liars.

Anyway, follow the process, appeal using the template. Get rejected but don't bother with the corrupt, criminal kangaroo court they offer for a further appeal.

Instead then just ignore everything you get from G24 and their equally vile 'debt collectors'. The only thing you shouldn't ignore is GENUINE court papers but G24 have NEVER issued any and given they can't remember a phone number probably can't remember how to write ..... assuming they ever could. :D

Good for you. G24 really are scum. Adrian King is a complete bully boy. NOBODY should EVER pay G24 a penny ...... and nor do you need to as they are too stupid to do court.

In fact I feel an urge to ring them again this coming week ..... dozens of times :rotfl:
