Relocation and new job.

Hi.
Last month i was told by my manager that i was required to relocate from Manchester to Liverpool. At the time he offered me the options of moving or taking redundancy.
We had an informal meeting and i said i would trial it, and move to the Liverpool office.
Obviously, as soon as i heard this, i began applying for other jobs within Manchester, so i could stay local.
This week is my first week in the Liverpool office. And today i was offered a job by one of the companies that i applied to.
I have told my team leader that i am leaving and she e-mailed my manager (who was working in a different office today), and i will speak to him tomorrow.
My question is, can i go back to him and tell him that i now wish to take redundancy (and the redundancy pay), or, as i chose to trial it in Liverpool, is my option of redundancy gone. Will have to resign instead?
And another question is, whats the best way to ask for a reduced notice period? My contract say i have to give 3 months notice, but im not sure my new company will wait that long.

That boat sailed the moment you told them you had another job, you might have had a chance if you had just told them you had changed your mind and didn't want to work in Liverpool.[Deleted User] wrote:My question is, can i go back to him and tell him that i now wish to take redundancy0
