Hi there,
I hope someone can help, someone i know has been visiting a friend on a private estate and has been given a few windscreen tickets over the past couple of months, they were under the impression to just simply ignore- and they are not sure if this is the right thing to do- They have just got a NTK through the post from PCS (Parking Collection Services) on behalf of Secure A Space and they are sure that there are a couple more on the way so they were wondering if someone can advise them with what the best course of action to take- if any.
Thanks in advance

"Simply ignore" was wrong.
Read through the newbies faq sticky at the top of the forum on how to proceed with the NTK.0 -
It is likely that the NTK is not compliant with POFA. I believe PCS charge £120 while the original NTD is for less. If this is the case, appeal as keeper on the grounds the NTK is not compliant. Then appeal to POPLA for the same reason. do this for every ticket.
If necessary, edit your posts to remove any hint as to the driver. Be very careful with appeals not to say who the driver is, as they could then pursue that person.Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -
I read the 'Newbees' it says to start a new thread when dealing with Secure A Space0

RE: hoohoo
Yes the original ticket was for £100.00 (£60.00 if paid within 14 days) and yes PCS are asking for £120.00, so I can appeal on the grounds its not compliant?
How and when do I appeal to POPLA? Sorry just very new to this- just point me in the right direction!0 -
You first appeal to PCS following the appeal procedure laid out on the NTK.
Dear PCS,
I am appealing as keeper. The notice to keeper is not compliant with POFA 2012 and therefore as keeper I am not liable. Additionally the charge is higher than that sanctioned by the BPA, and as per the guidelines laid out in ParkingEye v Beavis, not justifiable as it is significantly larger than council charges.
They then reject that and give you a POPLA code.
You then bang in a fuller appeal to POPLA. Don't be tempted to add to the appeal. Do go and revisit your post and edit it if any clue to the driver is present. Otherwise, they could pursue that person.Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -
