NW valuation good sign?

Hi all,
We had a DIP of nationwide and have been informed today that the valuation has been booked for tomorrow.
Is this a good sign? If the valuation comes back okay would this suggest we are going to receive a mortgage offer or does it mean nothing?
Thanks
Cameron

If it passes DIP straight away then they instruct val immediately. Its a good sign, but a person has not looked over your application yet so its assuming your details are entered correctly you have been trutheful etc.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Hi,
well in my personal experience we had the valuation arranged after they saw our proof etc, then when the valuation report came back we got the textx to say valuation recieved and accepted and offer issued all at the same time. So if its like my experience with nationwide it's a good sign!:beer:0 -
Not to take the wind out of your sales, but this happened to me and we are now 4 weeks down the line still waiting for our offer. Not sure how much my mortgage broker is pushing them however. Looks promising but its taking a while, apparently they are very busy at the moment.0

Thanks for the info!!!
My fingers are crossed that we receive an offer, I can see the valuation has been done and is under review hopefully it comes back okay.
Do you get a text to say its satisfactory?
Thanks

I came a slight cropper earlier this year, had a survey done, then a week later was informed I'd been turned down for the mortgage, so I had to pay a survey fee and some solicitors works, only to suddenly fall at the last hurdle (or one of the last hurdles).
It had all been progressing nicely, until the application got to the 'reveiwed by human' stage. Turns out I'd been late with a credit card payment a couple of times!
Subsequently had to pay £6000 arrangement fee to a different mortgage company, who don't pay so much attention to credit card payments.0 -
I've had my survey booked in by Nationwide, but they can't do it for 2 weeks.
I'm hoping its a good sign, they have been requesting more bank statements and wage slips but there is nothing different from what we submitted originally.0 -

22.06.15 Mortgage appt at branch, Decision in principle.

It was way quicker than I remember the last time I moved, but that was 17 years ago, eek.Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0
