Normal clothes but not scruffy. Smart casual really.
Don't be worried, court is the easiest part. Allow plenty of time to park and find your way. You might want some cash for car park or coffee.
You will be fine :-)SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65

Cheers guys.
Will i get to keep a copy of the paperwork - i have 3 sets
Money is ready
Car money ready
Car park - know where it is and where to go
Clothes ready - so no rushing
When the OR phones , is this a introduction? To setup the date of the interview?0 -
So court has been and gone. Had a really nice judge , i was in there less than 2 minutes. My paperwork was posted to me which i recieved today.
I have not had a call yet from the OR . What sort of time scale do they work to ?
Do i need to gather any paperwork such as statements ?0 -
Glad it went ok :-)
The OR normally phones within a couple of days of going BR. It will normally be a quick chat to establish basic facts & he/she will then make an appointment for the proper interview.
I don't know if anything is needed for the initial chat because my OR called the day after my court day & we had a ten minute chat and I didn't hear from him again . My case was so straightforward though that nothing else was needed. I actually spoke to him while I was outside hospital having a ciggie waiting for my Mum lol.
For the actual interview you will need copies of your Br forms , notepapet, pen & possibly bank statements. I'm not 100% sure though but someone will pop along and say.
You will need bank statements going back a year (don't worry if you can't get them though the OR can get them). You will be sent an envelope from the OR to send them back to him/her. They will explain all this anyway.SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65

Hi guys... Sorry another question or 2 !!!
Finally had my 1st phone call this afternoon- seemed pleasent enough.
1-will i have the same person for my interview ? Yes, usually.
2-what sort of paperwork do i need to fill out - she said i will receive it in the post shortly -is this a more detailed SoA ? No it's paperwork for you to sign that will give the OR permission to talk to the tax bods etc. and various things like that. There will be a list of paperwork you need to send as well, bank statements etc.
3- will i know what my ipa will be on the day or wait for the results ? They will generally let you know and then send you paperwork to sign and get the ball rolling. If you don't agree with it don't sign it, ask the OR for a breakdown on what they have allowed and then come on here.
Many thanks in advance
Obviously that is baring any hiccups like illness etc.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Hi guys.
Had my OR interview today.
Emma was very nice and explained the process.
She only went into my background and how i got into debt.
Didnt cover any of my monthly expenses which was what i was expecting . Felt very nervous and sick beforehand-much like before an exam or job interview !
My 1 main concern was keeping my lease car. Which she wasnt sure on and i needed a quick answer as im expecting the delivery next week. She said she would phone back and 20 minutes later she did.
I can keep the car and also i wont have to pay an IPA
For info.
My income with the new car being deductded is £1424 plus child benefit £1505.
My statement - couldnt post another SoA. I have a defecit so will look into ways of saving some more money and how to cuts some corners.
£462.72 rent
£480 food including cat food and litter -Sure i can cut this a lot
£49.83 gas&elec
£34.92 water
£83 mobile phone x3 - Hopefully the kids will pay for their own soon
£60 petrol
£50 Clothing - Be a bit more selective and cut back
£93 council tax
£15 optician - Will look into bulk buy lenses
£8 cat charity - To cancel
£12.12 tv license
£16.40 rcn
£20 emergency fund
£30 hair cuts - Probably be every 3 months
£5 dental
£25 pet insurance
£27 sky tv
£10 chiropractor - Will cancel
£10 nmc
£5 prescriptions
£50 holiday - this is booked so need to carry on with this
£10 entertainment
£10 presents
£27 broadband & phone
So, any ideas or suggestions would be a help.
Would a second bank account for my emergency fund and yearly cost be worth opening ? How do other people budget ?
Many thanks

She obviously thought that your SoA was resonable.
I would open a Yorkshire Building Society on line saving account and put in the payments that you make yearly into there.
Also a Barclays Cash account for your grocery and petrol and maybe clothes money. Set up bill DD's on the account you already have,so you know there will be enough money to pay them.

This is the YBS one http://www.ybs.co.uk/savings/online/internet-saver.html
Another option for your groceries etc. is a Cashplus card http://www.mycashplus.co.uk/BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0
