Regardless of the rights and wrongs of Buy To Let ; the fact is that a Tory government has decided that the UK has seen enough of it.
Good.
Who isn't resilient? Do you really think I'm bothered about what a couple of fools say on an internet forum?
So far, what allthingsmustpass has said has been comedy gold, here are some of the ridiculous comments that he has made. Please feel free to support any of his comments, if you feel that way inclined. I have added my comments below his comments in bold:
The truth is, having money isn't all its cracked up to be. The thrill was the chase
The purpose of starting a business is to make profits, not to have fun or experience ‘thrills’. Being wealthy doesn’t guarantee happiness, but neither does being poor.
and I dare say chucknorris felt that at one time when the buy to let business model looked to be working for him
Well with over £4m equity, over £100k of rental income profits and £100k capital growth per annum (based on only 2% per annum). I would say that it is certainly still working.
It is not a 'fun' business to get into and do, you don't have much to learn, or indeed much to do.
I have already covered the ‘fun’ bit, there is probably a bit more to it than he thinks, but my response here is surely if the profits are high and you don’t have to do much, then that must be good.
Having money in itself is often a pain.
Is it? That certainly isn’t my experience, so has he had money before and got rid of it, or is he just talking out of his backside?

LOL, it just gets better and better, and he is trying to tell me that my business model isn't working. You don't expect to me to respond in kind? I don't care, I think that you are a fool, who is irate because your parents have a nicer house than you, it's really pathetic.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

You will not be punished for your anger. You will be punished by your anger.

I am not angry, what makes you think I am angry? I'm just about (well in about 20 mins) to take my dog out for a run in the countryside, best part of the day.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
I think it's fantastic. on me!
It's no surprise that the greedy slumlords are complaining that the government is taking away their method of picking money from the pockets of the poor.
It was A CONSERVATIVE government that brought in the right to buy council houses, whilst at the same time preventing councils from replacing council houses for ordinary people to live in.
It was a conservative government that took interest rates on mortgages to 15.5%, thus making many people unable to pay the interest on their homes which were then in negative equity, due to the bursting of the bubble in the early 1990's.0
