Any Antique Experts Out There?

Hi sorry not sure where to put this question.
I need some advice on antique items I have, which I want to sell.

The problem is I am not sure of there value, I have several chandaliers which are very very old, I found one identical on a webiste, I emailed the company and they said $6000 dollars for just one particular chandalier which I have.
I then replied to them and told them I have several more, would they be interested in buying form me, they have emailed back saying " how much do I want for them ".

You see thats my prblem I dont have a clue on the value of the other items I have. The one they have which is identical to mine is a Sabino, the other I have are I think french, i did find another moreorless identical which had the value of $20,000 dollars, now I can't find it on the net.

If anyone out there can please help, I will send them all the photos which I have taken, I also have a solid mahogany table 100 years old that turns into a settee, yes really it turns into a settee, in mint condition, yet I cant find anything on the net that looks like it.

Thank you.
Nice to save.

Do you not have them insured? If so, use the insurance value. If not (naughty, naughty!) then I think your best bet is to find a local auctioneer/dealer and ask them for a valuation. Just try the word auctioneer and your locality in Google or try the List of Members HERE

Exactly. What ever you do dont ask ANYONE what they think they are worth if they are antique buyers as they will offer you next to nothing.

The best bet is to get a couple of antique people in seperately to give you insurance valuations. That will tell you what they are actually worth if a shop was selling them. Then, you can see if any antique dealers would be interested in buying them.
