I am struggling financilly at the moment - i have just workd out my monthly budget on a budget planner with the national debt line & I am in dire straits! I am earning £1216.63 a month, my outgoings are £1174.49:eek:, this is without adding my food/entertainment/etc on top.
Some days I am finding myself robbing peter to pay Paul!!
Please could someone advise me on what is best to do next. Is it worth me a) re-mortgaging, b)getting a loan to consolidate my debts or c) dissapearing (personally i prefer option c!)

have a look at southerscousers first time posters thread.. this will give you the info to write up an SOA or statement of affairs... write everything down that you can think of including one off payments like mots etc divided by 12 so you get the approx cost per month..
then if you post it up here everyone will be able to look through and see where you can cutback to lower your outgoings.
Also the CCCS and citizens advice bureau off great advice if you don't get the answers you're looking for on here...

Hi QV - welcome to DFW - we'll soon be able to help once we see your SOA.
It's reassuring to see that your income is still, albeit only just, above your expenditure, so I'm sure there are lots of ways that you can make savings without having to go into more debt.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Hi, QV and well done on recognising that you have a problem. You'll get lots of moral and practical support, I'm sure, from all the good people on this site. As already stated if you post up your SOA, you will get lots of advice on how to cut back. I don't think that you'll find anyone here who would recommend remortgaging or consolidation of unsecured debt. As for disappearing, if you want some company, give me a shout, I quite fancy disappearing myself.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0
