What has your current broker said and what are they doing about the situation?

When I have an application go wrong I always go back to the client with a plan.

Given the outline above, the presence of a broker on the case would suggest a new, competent one is needed Bet.

The second mortgage in the background is potentially a big issue here as the repayments on that will be taken into account with most lenders, even though the payments are not being made now, they could be in the future.

If affordability is not an issue then Aldermore could be an option - but it could also be a little overkill. Its worth consulting a broker and getting some advice.
