IPA calculation and partners income

Hi
I am considering bankruptcy and have a question (thinking ahead) about income and expenditure for an iPad calculation (obviously I want to make sure I have enough money to live on during it). I like with a partner who earns aroun 900 a month purely from benefits. About 600 of this is DLA with the rest ESA. Would this be taken into account as being counted as income that would be expected to be used as a contribution to household bills etc? Obviously I would prefer to say I am paying all of it each month if that makes sense?
Thanks

The money would be taken into account, but they only do the IPA based on your income. Whatever is paid to your partner, is your partners! they would expect that they contribute to the running of the household though after their own expenses are paid.0

On my SoA I listed that my partner gives me £500 a month towards the household expenses, when I had my interview the examiner asked to see a breakdown of her income and expenditure as otherwise they would assume that she paid half of the expenses. Like yourself all of her income is benefit based, when we submitted the numbers to the examiner she accepted what we had put down, because DLA is a benefit that has been awarded after an assessed need all we put down in her expenses was disability costs and matched the number of the income for the DLA.
In the IPA calculator it separates your income from your partners as a percentage of total income, say for instance:
Your income £1000
Partners Income £600
100 / 1600 * 1000 = 62.5
so you contribute 62.5% to the household expenses.
all of your household expenses (declared on SoA and your partners expenses) are then added together and split 50/50
so
Household expenses = £1450
1600 - 1450 = 150
so total disposable is £150
150 * 0.625 = 93.75
This would leave you with an IPA of £93.75
^^ These are just random numbers I pulled out of the air to show an example.
Hope it helps.
>> The examiner didn't question any of my partners expenses just wanted to see that I wasn't giving them false figures to save myself an IPA.0
