Secondhand textbooks

Does anyone know of a shop in the Glasgow/Hamilton/Paisley area which sells secondhand textbooks?
Thanks.

Worth trying a (free) 'wanted' post on Freecycle - list of Scottish groups here:http://uk.freecycle.org/region/Scotland

Free to list, all items listed/offered are free.
  • You have probably already thought of it but I would say Ebay is worth a try. I recently bidded on a book on the history of art from a seller unloading several books purchased for her Open University course!

Blackwells bookshops in University towns have some second hand textbooks.

Thanks everyone. I'll try them all. I know there used it be a secondhand textbook shop in Glasgow, ABC Books or something like that, but it seems to have closed down.

Quite often http://www.bookbutler.co.uk/ can be a useful comparative site to find cheap books, but also check amazon marketplace.

Thanks FutureGirl and deannatrois. I appreciate your help and I'll certainly check your info out.
Hi, MisterPym... Scots Law, especially introductory Scots Law by Wyllie and Crossan or anything in the same vein.
  • Recycling everything as possible is rly important to MSE. I brought some used textbooks from usedbooksearch.com last year at a good price. Those books were almost as new.

Well you have access to the internet, so surely you could make use of Ebay Auctions and Amazon Marketplace as well.
