You may have not been 100% serious but I did have a filling and a crown fitted over the past few weeks, which thinking about it is the only thing that has changed recently. If the dental work is the cause, then this is going to go on forever! :eek:0 -
Oh dear :rotfl: I hope that you find it's something else that is slipping your mind just now, rather than the crown.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

I used to sell ethernet cable on ebay, if I popped into a supermarket on the way to the post office the cables would set the alarms off.
In the store where I work many people set the alarms off when they come in or go out. It's usually key rings or phones.
Next time it happens go back into the store and walk out again with your keys and phone held as high above your head as you can. Or just hold them high the first time if you know the alarm always goes off in that store.
If the alarm doesn't go off all you have to do is try it again with one or the other held high to find out which one is causing it.0 -
Indeed, I'll go one better and hand my phone and keys to someone else while I pass through the alarms. :T0

It could be the crown as circles of metal are one of the things that set off the alarms. Not sure how you could prove that tho, apart from wearing a very high pair of platform boots to put just your head above the "zone".
Although you could rule out everything else by holding the things you always carry above your head.0 -
Have you had a new debit or credit card lately? Sometimes passing field technology cards (smart cards) can set them off.0

I had this many, many years ago with a new credit card sized calculator in my wallet. If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

Next time I'm going to pass through the alarms with no phone, cards or keys and see what happens. Sadly I fear it is the teeth to blame as my phone, cards and keys have not changed at all lately.0
