Halifax Decline

Hi all

I've received a decline from Halifax. Reason given by broker was "credit score".

Broker told me to download Experian report. Experian report was empty for me, it contained no information for the last 7 years, i.e. my existing mortgage or credit cards etc weren't on there. It only had me at my old parents address. Prior to application I had an AIP agreed and had provided broker with copies of Equifax and Callcredit which had all the correct info. I have now entered my correct address on Experian and it has pulled all the correct data in.

My question is - is it worth an appeal? On the basis that the blank Experian has caused the decline? Its worth me adding that I haven't got the greatest credit score but did pass the AIP.

Many thanks for any advice.:(

Your experian was only blank for you because you didn't put the correct address in.

Your bank would have put the correct address in, so they would have seen your data.

No lenders except you can see the credit score so that can't be the reason.

What is the broker doing about this?

He's asked for copies of the Experian so he can analyse and appeal.

Did he not have the experian report before he put the case in?

I supplied Equifax and Callcredit....He didn't ask for Experian.
