Can't View Credit Report On 18th Birthday

Hi I have tried to view both my Noddle and Experian CreditExpert records on my 18th birthday. Noddle said they couldn't match my identity and Experian keep telling me there is a problem. What could this be. I have tried using 2 different cards on both for the card check. Both cards are registered to my address and both cards are linked to current accounts. I am also on the electorall roll.

Hi James.
Happy Birthday! Congratulations on your 18th!
It's great to see that you are keen to check your credit reports, although as you are only just 18 it is likely that there will be very little information held in your name.
Your electoral roll information may show if you are already registered, and possibly a current account but as you need to be 18 for most forms of credit we would not expect there to be much on the report yet.
As a result of this, further documents will probably requested when you apply to help confirm your identity.

Have a great day!
Kind regards

You don't need to bother about credit reference files on your 18th birthday. As the Experian rep says, there'll be very little held against you at the moment and no one will have yet smacked you with a credit check.
Are you hoping to go to university next year?0 -
Hi thanks for your help. I have signed up to experian credit expert and think it's a good idea to keep it for a year or two. My report shows that I am on the electoral roll and I have a score of 873 (8 points away from a good score) but neither of my TSB Classic Plus/Santander 123 current accounts are showing. This is impacting on my score and I was wondering how long it will take for them to show on my credit report. I want to get a new phone contract but am worried a lender may decline me as although I have a fairly OK credit score my report is completely blank apart from showing that I am on the electoral roll.
Help Please, Many Thanks0 -
Please don't pay for your score. It's meaningless, as you can see from your own experience - with no credit history, you will be seen as high risk.
Just get the £2 report as and when the need takes you.0 -

He shouldn't even pay £2 really, Noddle is all he needs for now as he has pretty much no history I assume.0
